aquí en Perú, lo tengo hasta el día de hoy 2024, los colores negros son muy decentes, el sistema operativo es sencillo e intuitivo, con el tiempo aparecieron manchas como de suciedad y líneas negras, solo vino el técnico, cambió algunas tiras led y limpio el panel, quedó como nuevo, para ver deportes está genial y también juego videojuegos, prefiero jugar ahí que en un monitor ips porque los negros se ven mejor en esta tv de samsung

I bought mine in 2016 with an X-T10. I have loved it ever since. I use it more than my 16-55 or 16-80. I love it for street, because of it size and flexibility.

Love it. I've been toying with the idea of upgrading my camera. But my initial thoughts were that it limits your choice to those cameras still using the 26MP sensor, and would be counter productive on a larger sensor. Don't know.

Many people told me to get it in my kit, others told me the 16-55 f/2.8 R WR but finally I got a 16-80 f/4 R WR OIS and really happy, sharp lens and very versatile, I think it is a better option to a 18-55 and to a 16-50 or even the 16-55.

I totally agree. This is a simply amazing lens and I always carry it in my bag since 2017. The sharpness, the quality of bokeh and the colour rendering make this a timeless classic for the Fuji X system.

I used the same adaptor the other week on my X-T3 and my 135mm / 105mm and 50mm Takumars , I was totally impressed, and recommend this speed-booster to anyone using vintage lenses, on modern crop sensor cameras.

I have one, the price was right, it works for me, size is everything for my day to day walk about stuff.

Saw this lens attached to the Fuji XT2 in a shop in Romford.

Optically very good but it sucks in dust as bad as the 10-24 mk1 and the 55-200. I've hardly used my latest copy, it's practically brand new, used just twice, but it already has 4 or 5 large specs of dust inside. Weather sealing is important if you care about resale value or longevity.

My main issue with this lens is boring and unexciting to use. Dont get me wrong it is decent but that's all. Unfortunately i always prone to more demanding lenses so mostly it stays on a shelf.

No one can complain this time for giving a favorable review too close to the launch event 😅

Started with the xt3 and the 18-55 as the kit lens in 2020, been through countless lenses, sold of most of all lenses to be able to upgrade to the xt5, unfortunately early this year i had to sell everything fuji but the one thing i never did these 4 years was to sell the 18-55. I ended up giving it to my daughter so she could use it with her xt20 i got her for birthday. The 18-55 is one heck of a lens.

Yeah, it's a really good lens. Since I don't have an 18, 23 or 35mm, I use it often like a prime. Set it to one focal length and shoot.

Still, very happily, using this great lens, maybe the more recent mega pixel sensor beasts will demand more, however I see no problem with my images.

I had a great time with this lens. It balanced perfectly with my old XT-30 and I loved it. I don't really use zooms anymore, but I am tempted to pick up a copy of this as people start dumping them in favour of the new one, as it's only going to get cheaper. Great review. Cheers.

Still rockin’ my 18-55 after 8 years, I don't see letting it go anytime soon. I will give is replacement a try, but I have to admit I am in no hurry at the moment.

One of the first lenses I bought back in Feb 2018 when I picked up my first Fuji X camera; a pre-ordered X-Pro2. I still use the camera with this lens every week even though I have a lot of other, newer Fuji and Nikon kit now. This lens never ceases to please. Nice video Damian, thanks.

Hi! I'm new to DSLR cameras, been taking a lot of photos with phone only and I'm looking to buy a cheap "beginner"-camera for vacation and weekends etc. I've been looking at Nikon D3400. Would you recommend this over the D3400? In Norway, they are about the same price as used.

Can i used to my fuji xs10?

I picked up this lens just on a whim last week and I've been testing it out on my X-T4. For some test shots on my dog and cats and some flowers in the yard it worked pretty well. I got a few decent shots and one or 2 exceptional shots. This coming weekend I'll be doing some street photography with a friend in NYC - I'll update my thoughts here when I get back after post.

The lack of subject separation made me avoid this lens.

I just got the new version of this yesturday. Fitted to my XT30, put a ‘retro’ recipe on and was well happy with the shots I got this morning. Exactly what I was looking for as a simple walk-about set up 👍

I receive the lens with bug or maybe faulty. The aperture ring cant use to set f2.8 and f8, on f2.8 its skip to f3.2 and on f8 its blinking f8-f11 Meike did sent me a firmware fix but i cant test it because the lens has been return by the rime they fave me the firmware. update 1: return the lens and buy another, still get the faulty lens but this time only missing f11. I have this lens. I think it does it's job capturing wide angles but I don't believe it is as sharp especially when you zoom in on the pictures.

The 75mm seems to be the only option for Fuji shooters looking for a small and light autofocus lens around this focal length. For 12mm there is also the Zeiss Batis 12mm, but that is two times the cost of the Samyang. So Samyang is in a pretty good spot from my perspective.

Mine often gets used as a general purpose lens. I like the little bit of compression it gives to a scene. Then you can get close with the same lens, and there’s plenty of detail though colours remain natural and lush rather than eyeball scratching . The AF is ok with the update, similar to the 18-55 I’d say. Don’t know why people ignore it really. Oh, and the box lid is of course magnetic, just marvellous.

No doubt, another excellent lens, however it wouldn't seem to be a good match for my 3 Fujifilm X series bodies.

It's tough to get proper info on this lens, so how would you say does this compare to the Viltrox 1.7 now that you reviewed both? Is the 1.4 vs 1.7 noticable? And is the Viltrox that much sharper and cleaner regarding CAs (according to some technical reviewers it beats the Sigma 56 across the board)? I'm tempted to get the Viltrox as it's currently on sale for an insane €135 in Germany, but the Meike with the 1.4 and the aperture ring still gives me doubt. I do have the Sigma 18-50 2.8, so I wonder if the 1.7 is that much of a step from 2.8 or if the 1.4 would be the better option despite some optical flaws that tbf the Sigma 18-50 also has.
